2007 CSL SEASON WRAP UP
Although the season is not yet complete, we had a very successful CSL season. This year was going to be a test, with five teams being promoted from the 2006 season. We also added five new teams, and increased our coaching staff by two.
The season brought two League Championships, the Girls U15 (12 -0 -3) and the boys U17 (12 -1 – 1). Five other teams are in a position to apply for promotion, and the remaining teams have consolidated themselves in their division. We were also well represented at the Nomads College Showcase at Thanksgiving, the GU17 team reaching the semi finals and the boys being accepted into the Premier bracket.
On the developmental side of the program we have added U9 and U10 boys and girls teams. We sent a BU14 team to England during the Summer for some intensive training and games. In the High School arena we have had outstanding success placing players into San Clemente , Laguna Beach , Mission Viejo, Trabuco, and El Toro High Schools , with strong representation at all three levels.
We have had a great year and enjoyed support from our families. Club soccer can be consuming but we have tried hard to keep the focus on the kids and their development. As we head into the New Year and Holiday season we wish all the families of our club and our opponents at other clubs, a great festive period.
Go SC United!
