Chris spent over 4 years with Celtic FC at the youth level and also had spells with Dundee FC and Brechin FC. During this period he was coached and learned from coaches who are regarded amongst the best in the world such as Liam Brady (current Arsenal head youth coach), Jim Duffy (former Chelsea head youth coach), Pat Gardner (Celtic FC) and Jim McLean (Dundee United). Chris's dad (Steve Murray) captained Celtic FC during the most successful period of the club's history and player under the legendary coach Jock Stein. He was the assistant manager at Dundee United and has coached several international players such as Duncan Ferguson (Everton) and Christian Dailly (West Ham). Chris has coached for over 3 years with San Clemente United, 2 in the role of Technical Director. During this period the club has produced several gold teams with several players who are progressing to play at the collegiate level. Chris believes the Coerver philosophy of coaching combined with professionalism at all levels has greatly contributed to the success of the players and teams during his time with the club.

During his youth years in England he played for two outstanding coaches, Jim Ryan and Roy Little, both of whom saw service at Man United and Man City, and it was then that his fundamentals were formed. After moving to California he became the Director of Development at the Mission Viejo Soccer Club where he coached at the Gold level for many years. He helped players progress to the State and Regional level and into the College ranks at UCI, Santa Barbara, Indiana and UCLA. He had two years in the ODP program at the State Level and attended Regional camp in Montana. At the Irvine Strikers he coached a U14 boys team to a State Cup Championship. More recently his success has been with the boys at Mission Viejo High School where in four years years he has taken them from an unranked position, to a top five position in the County and top-twenty Nationally, with two League Championships. Roger has recently been appointed to the board of advisors for soccer at the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section. He is one of a few coaches Licensed to train players in the Coerver system of skill development and is owner of Coerver Southern California. He brings a proven track record and experience both in coaching and training, and adds to the focus of player development at San Clemente. Roger has lived in Mission Viejo for twenty six years with his wife Cecilia and has two children Joanna and Roger Jnr. He lists soccer as his other interests.

Jamie has been with SC United for the past two years and has been heavily involved in the success of the girls program. He is an experienced player from England where he played district and county soccer while also spending time at Norwich City's Centre of Excellence before captaining Leeds University. Jaime began coaching in England with positions at Norwich City and Leeds University. He has been a full time professional coach in the U.S. for the past four years. Jaime has recently been appointed as head of youth development for the younger players at the club for the upcoming season and further details will be posted shortly.

Paul holds a BSC Honors Degree in Physical Education from Sheffield Hallam University where he played at the Division 1 level for 3 years. Paul also played Semi-Professional soccer for several different clubs in England before relocating to California in 2005. Paul’s coaching experience ranges from both the Club and High School levels in England and the United States. During Paul' s three years as Head Coach at Silverdale School, Sheffield, England the school won the Yorkshire Schools Competition twice. Paul coached at Mission Viejo High School for the 05/06 season as the JV, Assistant Varsity and Conditioning Coach where both teams won the South Coast Division One League. The program was ranked 4th in the State and a top 20 team in the Nation. Paul has numerous other experience including 5 years Directing and Coaching soccer camps for UK International and holds Coaching licenses in both the UK and USA.

James recently received a master’s degree in education and works for the Saddleback Unified School District both as a teacher and a soccer coach. He is coming off a very successful season coaching with the Mission Viejo High School Girls soccer program and looks forward to continued success in years to come. As an undergraduate at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro James joined the varsity soccer team as a walk-on goalkeeper and enjoyed success when the team completed the season as the #2 ranked team in Division 1. Since completing his undergraduate degree in 1999, James has coached children from U9 through to U19 in Virginia, North Carolina, San Diego and Orange County.

Garrett played on a soccer scholarship with the University of San Diego graduating in 2003 as a 4 year letter winner for soccer and has also trained with the U.S. U20 National team in the past. Garrett has coached at United Futbol Club for the past three seasons and his U16 girls team recently won the Desert Classic playing up an age level and reached the last 16 of State Cup. Garrett brings with him a fantastic reputation as a player, coach and person and the club are delighted to have him join the coaching staff.

Steve graduated from Cal State University, Fullerton in 1992. He is now a Spanish teacher and head coach of the Dana Hills Girls Varsity soccer team and will be coaching the girls u14 team in spring league and then in the regular season when they move to u15 (2007/8). Steve's team have dominated their local league and recently won the Orange County Classic.
Steve brings with him a fantastic reputation amongst parents and players in the community and we're delighted to add him to the coaching staff.
